Earth Day

The one day where everyone comes together to celebrate this wonderful, miraculous miracle of a planet we inhabit.

Thing is, everyday is earth day to me because I live my life in love for this planet, this Mother to all life.

She Provides.   She Nourishes. She loves us. #shelovesus

She gives us beautiful things to look at and great companions to share this time with.

She is teaching us how to grow and thrive each and everyday, season to season, year after year. We only need to notice.

And She wants us to notice too because that’s her way of showing us how to love. Teaching us how to love ourselves and each other. For She only wants us to happy.

To run in her fields, to jump in her pools or climb up her peaks... she provides this to so we can have fun and be happy.

Ever read #thegivingtree by Shel Silvetstein? That’s a good one.

And what do we do in return?

How do we show our appreciation?

.... what? One day.

That’s it. She gets one day? Oh and you’re going to recycle everything now? Your going to choose eco-friendly packaging now? Your going to clean up the garbage you threw out onto her today? What about tomorrow? What about a week from now? What about when all of our water ways are poisoned with the microplastics from all the thousands of water bottles, the plastic cellophane around every package you purchase. The carbon emissions from the delivery trucks, the airplanes, the smog from the factories that make that thing you just haaaaaaddd to have. And what about the food you just drived thur to get, those burgers taste great? Don’t care about the chemicals they are pumping those cows with and poisoning our fields with.  I know you don’t want to take the right to but that super-size away #mylifemychoice

Your totally right. We do have a choice. You can choose to love this planet, Earth. Mother Earth. The only place we live. Choose to love her today and everyday.

How? Choose when you vote with your dollar.

If not for you, do it for HER because you love her.
Please. I love her too and want her to flourish

You know, when the world shut down after covid hit....you remember right? The sky in China was blue. The reduction in green house gases was great and the amount of planetary regeneration.... you can’t even imagine how much good that little tiny break had for our planets overalls wellness. When we stopped hurting her,

For the brief moment in time.

She showed us it’s not only is possible. It’s easy!

Friends. How can we make a global shutdown happen yearly? Global holiday celebration??? Because we love her. Or give love to her everyday by making a better choice in your daily consumptions.

Some ways I love Mother Earth

  1. I recycle 95% of all my potentially recyclable goods. ALL the plastic!! I bring it for special collection at participating venues.

  2. I always turn off the lights when I’m not in the room.

  3. Don’t let the water run while I wash dishes or brush my teeth. (I do also take nice long showers sometimes so maybe I’m just offering it there).

  4. When I see garbage on the ground/water, I pick it up and dispose of it properly to ensure it doesn’t harm an other of gods creatures (animal or fish or human).

  5. I patron/choose companies that are a force for good; #bcorp #fairtrade #sustainable

  6. I buy organic produce & goods. (I rather support companies not using chemicals then saying it’s okay. #wevotewithourdollar #iamworthmorethanyourpoison

  7. I grow my own produce and herbs.

  8. I compost my most of food scraps.

  9. #leavenotrace picking up after our mess

  10. I advocate for my planet and volunteer my time.

  11. I buy meat/poultry from regenerative farms.

  12. I hold love in my heart for this place and I am grateful for it daily. #gratitude

  13. I use reusable paper towels and reusable cleaning clothes to clean my house. Cloth napkins and reusable lunch containers and biodegradable food and garbage bags. I’m not 100% but close. Reusable water bottles and glass containers to store leftovers. I reuse whatever I can to eliminate the disposable waste.

  14. When I do use cleaning products they are plant based without chemicals. Natural extracts or solutions like vinegar, baking soda, bicarbonate.

I know there are areas I could improve on, there are more things I could be doing.  But like we do, I make compromises that fit my families needs and what’s available in my community. I am just doing my best.
And that is enough for her. She will love me regardless. I just try for her. It makes me happy trying and it makes her happy I do.

I’m just one of her seeds you see. I’m in constant growth in an upward trajectory. We are all actually. Every living being in this world follows this never ending cycle.

Grow - bloom - shed - replenish.
